Lake Shkodra is the largest lake in the Balkan Peninsula. Located between Albania and Montenegro, Lake Shkodra has an area of 362 km2; from which 149 km2 belong to Albania. Located in the eastern part of the country, bordered with Republic of Macedonia, Ohrid Lake is the most popular among the Albanian lakes.
