Werfen

The historic village of Werfen is situated in the Salzburg region, embedded in a wild romantic mountain landscape between Hochkönig and Tennengebirge Mountains.  

Due to its central location in the Tennengebirge mountains numerous ski areas can be reached easily from Werfen. Sports fans will find various facilities in Werfen. Marvellous winter hikes, ice skating, alpine curling and sledding as well as a modern shooting range are at your disposal. In winter the longest downhill piste of the Eastern Alps (16 km) makes Werfen a paradise for fans of ski mountaineering.
