There are two mobile operators - M-Tel and Globul using the GSM standard and Mobicom using the analog standard. Both GSM operators offer a prepaid card system - Prima (from M-Tel) and b-connect (from GloBul), which can be purchased from newspaper kiosks or mobile phone shops.
There are numerous street phones for which you need phone-cards for long-distance calls. Internet is becoming an increasingly popular mean of communication.
