Füzér

The settlement dates back to the Middle Ages, and its history is closely intertwined with that of the 13^th century castle overlooking it. Of the royal castles built during the Árpád Period, this one is sited in one of

the most picturesque locations. The castle, which sits on a cone of volcanic andesite, is located in a Nature Conservation Area.

The House of Regional Folk Art, at the foot of the castle, serves as a museum for the traditional artefacts of the area; the building, itself, also preserves the local architectural customs.
