Danilovgrad is a town in central Montenegro that is located in the Valley of Zeta River and lies between Montenegro largest cities. The town is in the centre of Danilovgrad Municipality and is a favorite with tourist. Danilovgrad was founded way back in 1870 when King Nikola I laid the foundations for the city. It was first established with the purpose of making it the capital of Montenegro but it slowly diminished throughout the years and got its name from Prince Danilo.

There are different methods of transportation to get to Danilovgrad which includes air transportation, road transportation and rail transportation. Air transportation is facilitated by Podgorica Airport terminal which is located 11 km south of Podgorica and is 30km away from Danilovgrad.
