Mojkovac
Mojkovac is situated in the central- northern part of Montenegro, north of Bjelasica Mountains on the west bank of the Tara River. Mojkovac is the center of Mojkovac municipality.
It has a very favorable geographic position as the Beograd - Podgorica highway and the Belgrade-Bar railway also run through this the town. There is also a regional road leading towards Žabljak and Pljevlja.
Mojkovac has some natural tourism potential: Biogradska Gora National Park and white water rafting of Tara River.
St. George’s Monastery in Dobrilovina is the most important cultural and historic monument in the area; it is 25 km away from Mojkovac in the direction of Žabljak. The monastery was built in 1592. |
