Gombasek Cave
The Gombasek Cave (in Slovak: Gombasecká jaskyňa) is situated on the western foothill of the Silická Plateau, in the territory of the National Park and Biospherical Reserve Slovenský Kras. The length of this spring cave is 1525 m. It is unique by very narrow straw stalactites reaching the length as much as 3 m. There are also other types of stalactites, stalagmites, various flowstone shapes and crusts in this cave.  Gombasecká Cave The cave was discovered in 1952, and has been opened to the public since 1955. This cave is connected with the beginnings of speleotherapy in Slovakia. Accessible part is 285 m long.
