Kyjatice
Kyjatice (Hungarian: Kiéte) is located in the southeastern part of Slovakia, in the Rimavská Sobota District. The village’s Romanesque-Gothic style church dates from the 13th century; it was rebuilt in both the 15th and the 17th centuries. The interior of the church is still richly decorated with wall-paintings originating from the 14th and 15th centuries. Of these, “The Last Judgement" is particularly noteworthy. The ceiling coffers, painted with Renaissance patterns, also deserve a mention. Kyjatice |
