It would not be wrong to say that Paris is the city for lovers of art to visit. With so many interesting object d’art available in various museums, a lover of art can be rest assured that they shall have their hands filled as long as they stay. The Palais de Tokyo is one more awe inspiring building that is dedicated to contemporary and modern art.

The entire building is of two parts with the western wing belonging to the French state and the eastern wing to the city of Paris. Visitors can arguably call this structure as an art deco building.

Those who are conversant with the history of this building will tell you that it was constructed in the year 1937. It was reopened in the year 2001 after French architects Jean-Phillips and Anne Lacaton changed the interior designs. The rough style of the roof, walls, and floors are due to their ingenuity.

There is no need for you to hurry as you watch the exhibits, since this is the only Parisian museum that remains open till midnight. The main idea of this museum is not to have a permanent exhibition but to provide an exhibition place where experimental artists can showcase their works. This is the main reason why you will find different exhibits each time you visit the Palais de Tokyo.
