Kalymnos island
Kalymnos island is located in the southeastern Aegean Sea, Greece. Kalymnos belongs to the Dodecanese island group close to the western part of Bodrum peninsula, Turkey. Kalymnos lies between two to five hours away by sea from Rhodes. The island is known as Calino in Italian and Kilimli or Kelemez in Turkish. Tourism activity has become the most important revenue for the island, rock climbing is particularly popular. The island has an airport, the Kalymnos Island National Airport near Pothia.
