Ancient Academy of Asklepion, Kos island
Kos island is located in the south Sporades group of the Dodecanese islands in Greece, next to the Gulf of Gökova, about 4 kilometres from the coast of Bodrum, Turkey. Kos town is the administrative center and largest town of the island. The ruins of Asklepieion are popular tourist attractions. In ancient Greece and Rome, an asclepeion was a healing temple, sacred to the god Asclepius.The cult of Asclepius started around 300 BC. Temple of Apollo, Delphi
Delphi is located in the central part of Greece, on terraces of Mount Parnassus, about 15 km from the harbor town of Kirrha on the Corinthian Gulf. Delphi is a famous archaeological site including the Sanctuary of Apollo, the site of the ancient Oracle. Delphi oracle was the most important oracle in the classical Greek world.
