The more stars, the more highly recommended the camp site would be. This provides travellers with some basic information from which to choose their camp site.

Camp grounds in France can vary from place to place. Some camp grounds offer more amenities than others. It is wise to make sure you know what will be provided to avoid over packing or under packing. Some camp sites may offer the item but you may need to rent it for the duration of your holiday or however long you will need it. These items could include televisions, grills and more. With today’s computer age, you might even find a camp site that offers free wireless internet from your camp site or they may simply provide the service through an internet café.

Overall, camping holidays in France are very reasonable. Typically, you will spend more if you choose to take your camping holiday in the summer months of July or August. These months are the peak of the season and prices are usually higher due to the demand. If you do choose to take your camping holidays during either of these months, it is wise to make your reservations prior to your departure. Otherwise, you may get there and find they are filled to capacity.
