The various watery departments of the Monterey Bay Aquarium cover different areas of marine life and show a wide variety of sea creatures. Kelp forests are an interesting feature at the Aquarium, while the Monterey Bay Habitats consists of a large hourglass shape exhibit offering space for its resident sharks to swim and move about.
The Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Splash Zone means lots of water and 45 different exhibits including the cheeky penguins. This is a popular area among younger visitors to the Aquarium. In addition, the sea otters area produces an attractive section of the aquarium as visitors may watch the playful animals at feeding time.
The Monterey Bay Aquarium also provides a view of the birdlife present in the coastal area.
