Brac is the largest island in Central Dalmatia and the third largest in the Adriatic. It is also one of the sunniest with 2,700 hours per year. Brac has the largest airport of all islands surrounding Split.

Brac is renowned for its agricultural products, figs, olive oil, nectarines, wine and other fruits. Brač produces about half of the Dalmatian olive oil production.

However the main export is the famous Brac stone from which many buildings in the world have been constructed, including the home to the presidents of the United States of America, The White House in Washington DC Bol is said to have the most beautiful beach in the Adriatic.

The main town in Brac Island is Supetar; other resorts are Milna, Sumartin, Bol, Pučišća, Splitska, Postira, Nerežišće, Donji Humac, Mirca, Gornji Humac, Dol, Praznica, Povlja, Dračevica, Ložišća, Bobovišća na moru and Sutivan.

Brac Island has 2 towns – Bol and Supetar – with ferry connections. From Supetar you can catch a ferry to Split (45 min) or Dubrovnik; from Bol you will find ferries to Hvar.
