San Jose is the capital of Costa Rica, and is the headquarters of the administration. It is also a hub for culture and commerce. The city is placed at the center of the GAM or the Gran Area Metropolitana in a table land of the Central Valley of Costa Rica. The city is surrounded by verdant green mountains and valleys.
San Jose enjoys comparatively warm temperatures that ranges from 70 to 80 degree Fahrenheit. The warm climate most times of the year provides some well needed respite from the cold climate in temperate regions. Most tourists appreciate this. The south regions of San Jose stretch into rainforests and rural areas that Costa Rica is well renowned for. The Talamanca Mountain Ranges are located at the south.
