Körmend

Located in the western part of Hungary, about 25 km south of Szombathely, Körmend’s main attraction is the former Batthyány mansion . The mansion was built in the 18^th century on the foundations of a medieval castle. The three-storey central building has a mansard roof and a central court. The mansion got the recent Classicist façade during the 19^th century. The mansion has a 36-hectare English-style park. The mansion houses the Rába Local History museum, now.
